Where is my Job?

BEFORE TWO BECOME ONE!

I have seen several Christian blogs and articles written for single ladies asking where is my Boaz? Boaz in the book of Ruth is an honorable Christian man. He appears to be a good provider and a protector of Ruth, which is amazing! However, I ask God where is my Job? You see I need a good Christian man who is blameless in the eyes of God. Who fears God and most importantly his faith has been tested! He walked into the fire and he did not come out smelling like smoke. He walked in the wilderness and made it to the promised land.

Job 1:8 (NIV) “Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him, he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

My life has been filled with all kinds of struggles and challenges and when things get tough in my life, I need a man who can enhance my life by sharing his holy spirit-filled wisdom and strength. A strong and godly man who prays for his family, so together we can praise God in the good times and the bad times. Boaz sounds wonderful, but I don’t recall reading about him having any trials and tribulations? We need to make sure a potential significant other can handle trial and tribulation with clean hands and a pure heart.

Job 42:12 (NIV) “ The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.” After the testing of Job’s faith, God blessed him with abundance in health, wealth, and family, all areas of his life. You see Job is a good provider and protector, but most importantly he is a God-fearing man. If you are single and praying for a spouse, make sure you are praying for someone who truly loves God. If he or she loves God when things get tough, you can go to God in prayer. God can be your mediator to help keep your marriage on track.
