By the power of the holy ghost. In Kings 17:1-7, We read about Elijah who with a lot of confidence takes a courageous risk and by his word declares no rain in the land. 

“'And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1

As a result of Elijah’s risk, he is now commanded to live by the brook.   1 King 17: 3-4 “ and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”

Elijah finds himself on rocky ground, I believe that Elijah was surrounded by the cold, Rocks,  bugs, unfamiliar sounds and possibly dangerous wildlife looking for a meal, and he had to hold on to his belief in God, could do the impossible, while living in a situation, which he may have felt was impossible to survive.

Elijah finds himself in a wilderness season, a season of uncertainty, and I wonder, if doubt settled into his mind, while he waited for the Ravens to feed him. Some of us are in a season of uncertainty, we have to hold on to our faith, we will struggle, but we must pray, God can make it happen. Mariah Carey sang a song, called Make it happen, here are the lyric’s “Never knowing if I could take it, if I would make it through the night, I held on to my faith, I struggled and I prayed. I pray that her song inspires you to hold on to your faith. Cece sang, Miracles are possible, as God never lost a battle. Elijah with boldness declared no rain in his life.

You have the power to cast your emotions down and pick up courage.
